George Goodenow is an inventor, artist, and a longtime dowser. George founded Xeonix Inc. in 1987. Xeonix (pronounced: “ze-ah-nicks”) manufactured divination products, pendulums, pendulum charts, wallet cards, dowsing kits, L-rods, scrying mirrors, and instructional CDs.
It is calculated that over 500,000 people over three decades have successfully used
his pendulums to favorably change their lives by looking inward for guidance.
That intuitive guidance ripples outwards from one person, affecting other people during their lifetime, including: spouses, children, coworkers, friends, and others.
Over 15 Indian companies copied George’s unique designs every year, selling 20 to 30 times more pendulums than his own company. This may well have changed the lives of an additional 500,000 people.
Originally his company manufactured neon dimmers and the company name Xeonix was derived from the name of the noble gas Xenon which emits pure white light when energized. Other noble gases like neon, when energized, emit a red orange light.
From the early 1970s, George has always considered himself a “conscious creator.” He used the information from forty years of studying the Seth books (authored by Jane Roberts) to intentionally change his life. This included using the pendulum to access subconscious information for guidance.
He had a great carer as a artist working with light in the 70's and 80's, winning many competitive museum competitions. His Cibachrome photograms were collected by Ciba-Geigy and exhibited at Photokina in Germany. One of his environmental light sculptures, The Negative Shadow Retainer, was purchased by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1974.
During the 1980s he was a neon artist. He invented, designed, and marketed the first U.L. listed neon dimmer and became the world’s foremost authority on neon lighting, dimming, and interior dimmed neon graphics.
In the early 1990s, George learned to dowse from three of the 20th Century’s master dowsers—all past presidents or past officers of the American Dowsing Society. His skills today are a result of learning from Harold McCoy, Walt Woods, and Tony Gehringer, to whom he is eternally grateful.
After years in the sign industry, George decided to make a life change. In 1993, he reinvented his company by producing products that would have the ability to change people’s lives; specifically, pendulums and other divination products. George kept the name Xeonix because of its white light metaphor, and began designing and manufacturing pendulums and glass dowsing boards. The company grew to become one of the largest divination companies in the USA.
In 2008, his joint venture with Hampton Roads Publishing—The Magic Mirror—based on the original black scrying mirror he introduced to the USA market, was awarded “Best Divination Book of the Year” and “Best of Divination Kit of the Year” by the Coalition of Visionary Resources (COVR). COVR is the official association of New Age retail store owners in the United States. The Visionary Awards are “judged by retailers and seasoned professionals who determine the best metaphysical, Mind/Body/Spirit books, music, and sideline products which have positive energy and flair.” In the New Age industry, every product, except for music and books, is called a sideline.
In 2009/2010, George collaborated with Johnathan Goldman, an internationally known sound healer, to produce the “Supercharge Divination Kit.” Goldman created the divination frequencies and George designed the divination charts. The CD creates a sonic resonance that allows the listener to access higher levels of consciousness, resulting in a better connection to the source of one’s divination.
George designed the world’s first modular pendulum system in 2011. It is a system where one gemstone point can be used in multiple products, such as pendulum necklaces, pendulums, L-rods, wands, and with aromatherapy pendants. The Xeonix Modular Pendulum System won the top two COVR Visionary Awards at the 2011 International New Age Trade Show. It won “Sideline of the Year” and “Divination Product” of the year.
At this time, George is semi-retired and has decided to share his decades of knowledge by offering workshops. He continues to present workshops that have the ability to change people’s lives. He has presented dowsing workshops throughout the USA, India, and Europe since the mid-1990s. In 2027 he will be the keynote speaker at the Flagstaff Dowsing Conference.
